About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, promote and evaluate recreational programs for all ages and abilities
- Ensure safe, accessible, and appropriate recreational activities in facilities
- Develop, coordinate, and assist with implementation of Special Events for all ages
- Establish and maintain appropriate public relations in the community
- Respond to community needs and public inquiries/complaints related to recreation programming
- Promote and publicize recreation/leisure programs/services through media and direct contact
- Develop, recommend, and implement recreation programming based policies and procedures
- Organize, coordinate, and facilitate meetings with individuals, user groups, schools, community groups
- Attend Recreation Advisory Committee meetings
- Liaise with Recreation and Public Works staff to maximize efficient use of facilities
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree in any Related Technical Certificates
- Knowledge of event management and planning
- Strong public relations and communication skills

Job Summary
- Under the supervision of the recreation manager or the facility manager, responsible for the supervision of the operation.
- Services include special events/marketing/entertainment, games and other supporting activities.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Develop, coordinate, promote and evaluate recreational programs for all ages and abilities.
- Ensure an opportunity for a variety of safe, accessible, and appropriate recreational activities.
- Develop, coordinate, and assist with the implementation of Special Events for all ages.
- Ensure best practices and standards are followed in the development and implementation of programs and special events.
- Establish and maintain appropriate public relations in the community.
Job Responsibilities 2

Job Experience & Education
