About the Role
Paychex is hiring a Recovery Representative I to resolve bank returned items and provide customer service. You will handle returns, inbound calls, and educate clients on resolution processes.

Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely resolve all bank returned items
- Provide quality customer service to internal/external customers
- Educate clients, branches, product areas on the resolution process
- Handle returns resolutions and inbound phone requirements to meet departmental standards
- Perform daily processing of all new and pending returned items for assigned products
- Maintain daily call requirements based on forecast
- Ensure adherence to Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, NACHA, and other regulatory agencies
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma Required
- 4 years of experience in customer service, finance, accounting, or payroll
- Collections experience Preferred

Overview
- Responsible for accurate and timely resolution of all bank returned items. Provides quality customer service to internal/external customers, while mitigating risk to the company.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains basic knowledge of Paychex products including Taxpay, Direct Deposit, Readychex, Garnishments, 401(k), Workers Compensation, Health and Benefits, etc.
- Researches and resolves product and service issues from the field and clients
- Handles returns resolutions and inbound phone requirements
- Performs daily processing of all new and pending returned items
- Handles daily EDI payment report and payroll hold report
- Maintains daily call requirements
- Maintains department policies/procedures
- Evaluates client status to determine appropriate service
- Participates in ongoing training
- Ensures adherence to Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, NACHA, and other regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma Required
- Collections experience Preferred
- 4 years of experience in customer service, finance, accounting, or payroll
Compensation
- Starting base pay range: $20.00 $24.00 hourly
