Recertification Specialist (MD, Lansdowne)

Summary/Objective

Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following

• Scheduling and conducting resident certification interviews
• Requesting third-party verifications, reviewing resident-provided information for accuracy and completeness
• Calculating income, assets, and expenses based on information obtained
• Contacting residents to collect updated documents needed for the recertification process
• Review of tenant files to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
• Assist in maintaining property waitlist and regular entry of applications
• Assist with daily operational functions of the property including but not limited to, assisting residents, answering the phones, creating and closing work orders, and posting rent checks
• Assist with other duties as assigned
• Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications and calculate retroactive rent while conforming to HUD regulations and HPD guidelines
• Calculate rents for annual and interim recertification
• Identify households with income reporting discrepancies and identify rent-adjustments
