Job Requirement

  • To receive and control goods and delivers; and store and issue goods as required in accordance with BSS and company policy.

Main Responsibilities

  • To be fully conversant with, and to strictly adhere to Central Purchasing and BSS Purchasing procedures.
  • To agree stock levels with appropriate Head of Department and to order items in accordance with that level.
  • To help to maintain BSS system, keeping suppliers, products, categories and prices up to date.
  • To ensure all store are issued in accordance with the BSS requisitions.
  • To ensure that all BSS requisitions are correctly prepared and marked with the department which the goods are for.
  • To ensure that all the invoices are married up with BSS purchase orders and that quantity and pricing is checked for accuracy.
  • To maintain bin cards on BSS, and report any slow moving items.
  • To ensure that all stores are correctly rotated and issued in sequence.
  • To assist with monthly physical stock count activities as required.
  • To carry out weekly spot checks on store items.
  • To report any discrepancies of goods against Purchase Order.
  • To notify Stores and Purchasing Coordinator of obsolete and of date stock.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related Work Experience: 2 years work experience in a luxury hotels.

Essential Functions

  • To assist in ensuring that all items are efficiently received in the loading bay and checked against purchase order/requisitions.
  • To ensure that food and perishable items are delivered promptly to the appropriate department.
  • To ensure security of store room areas is maintained.
  • To ensure key control system is maintained and that keys are returned to security when not in use.
  • To ensure Health and Safety practices are maintained at all times including manual handling and stacking of items.
  • To be knowledgeable with Food Hygiene Regulations and to ensure that food items are handled in accordance with these.
  • To ensure that the Code of Corporate Conduct is adhered to at all times.
  • To follow HACCP standard and ADFCA Regulations.
