Overview

Nehrub Schools is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized **Real Estate Accountant** to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations related to school properties and real estate assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining lease and rental records, and supporting effective budget control across facilities.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who is passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting an educational institution’s operational excellence through strong financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting records related to school properties, facilities, and real estate assets
  • Record and monitor rental income, lease agreements, and related receivables
  • Reconcile tenant accounts, contracts, and property-related transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for real estate activities
  • Track and control property-related expenses, maintenance costs, and utility charges
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for facilities and property operations
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries related to real estate accounts
  • Coordinate with administration and facilities teams on financial matters
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and reports

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and lease accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and financial records efficiently
  • Experience in educational institutions or facilities management is an advantage
