Role Overview

SAIC is seeking a Radio Frequency Engineer to provide installation and integration support for C4I system racks and components.

The work supports Royal Saudi Naval Forces vessels, command centers, training facilities, and other operational platforms.

The position is field-based and requires hands-on work in operational environments.

Job Duties

  • Perform RF cabling, terminations, and operational testing during system installations.
  • Conduct pre-installation and post-installation electromagnetic interference surveys.
  • Prepare EMI summary reports with findings and improvement recommendations.
  • Support system design, software installation, and equipment operational testing.
  • Construct test cables and prepare for upcoming project segments.
  • Review RF quality issues and update documentation for approved corrective actions.
  • Maintain, repair, and functionally check UHF, VHF, HF, VSAT, SATCOM, and LINK-11/16 systems.
  • Use specialized test equipment and software diagnostics to isolate malfunctions.
  • Repair and modify systems according to technical orders, manufacturer handbooks, procedures, and engineering change plans.
  • Troubleshoot to component level, including ESD handling, soldering, and cable termination.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is required under the applicable contractual requirements.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Experience with hardware installation, maintenance, and repair is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ADSI, and/or CENTRIXS is required.
  • Knowledge of specified radio, networking, UPS, GPS, and related communications systems is required.

Preferred or Additional Skills

  • Active Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Component-level repair and troubleshooting with ESD handling is desired.
  • Soldering experience is desired.
  • Familiarity with KG-250 or similar RF communication protection devices is desired.
  • Fiber optic cable termination and testing experience is desired.
