Job Purpose and Impact
The role provides technical advice and support to customers before, during and after product sales.
The specialist is the lead customer contact for food-industry customers focused on Dairy and Dairy Alternatives.
The position bridges business intent to technical strategies and back to business results and reports to the Senior Director R&D.
Location and Schedule
- The position is based in Dubai, UAE and is office-based with travel to customers when required.
- This is a permanent, full-time, Monday-to-Friday position.
- No relocation support is offered, and applicants must have the correct permit to live and work in the UAE.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with internal R&D, manufacturing and consultants to provide technical support for current customers and prospects.
- Own the creation and execution of healthy NPD pipelines.
- Partner with product leadership, food safety, quality, regulatory, marketing and sales teams to select projects that enable sales.
- Translate the voice of the customer internally to influence win-win solutions for Cargill and strategic customers.
- Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations and assist with product demonstrations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technology and the competitive landscape to improve customer offerings.
Qualifications
- Experience and know-how in Dairy and Dairy Alternatives is mandatory; applications without this experience will not be considered.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Food Nutrition, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Food industry experience in research and development specifically in Dairy and/or Dairy Alternatives.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
