Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Site)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage site quantity surveying activities for civil works.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs, measurements, and BOQs.
• Compare actual site quantities with approved drawings, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare measurement sheets.
• Prepare interim payment applications and supporting documents.
• Verify subcontractor and supplier quantities, invoices, and payment applications.
• Track variations, additional works, omissions, and supporting records.
• Prepare and submit variation claims.
• Coordinate with site, planning, engineering, consultant, and subcontractor teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Support cost control and monitor expenditure against the approved budget.
• Maintain commercial records and support monthly progress valuations and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in civil construction projects.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction works, drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Experience with site measurement, quantity take-off, valuation, and variation management.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and quantity surveying software.
• Understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with site and project teams.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 8,000–AED 10,000 per month.

Workplace

• The work location is in person.
