Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and review quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and material quantities.
- Measure completed works for interim valuations and payment applications.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
- Prepare project budgets, cost plans, cash-flow forecasts, cost forecasts, and commercial updates.
Subcontractor and Commercial Management
- Prepare subcontractor enquiries, scopes of work, commercial comparisons, and recommendations.
- Review subcontractor quotations for commercial and contractual compliance.
- Prepare payment certifications based on verified work progress.
- Monitor variations, claims, contra-charges, omissions, approved adjustments, and final accounts.
- Reconcile final quantities and ensure subcontractor accounts are closed out.
Records and Cost Control
- Maintain accurate variation logs and supporting documentation.
- Maintain contractual correspondence, commercial instructions, valuation records, and payment status.
- Monitor payment certification, collections, retention, and outstanding amounts.
- Support procurement, value engineering, and cost-control measures to achieve project objectives.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, and Finance teams.
Requirements
- Experience or capability in quantity measurement, project valuation, and commercial cost control.
- Ability to evaluate subcontractor quotations, payment applications, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Ability to prepare accurate cost forecasts, commercial reports, and payment records.
- Ability to coordinate commercial matters with project management, construction, planning, procurement, engineering, QA/QC, and finance teams.
