Role Overview
Umiya Builders and Developers is hiring a Quantity Surveyor with a civil engineering background.
The role is entry level and based in Vasanth Nagar, Bangalore.
The position is full-time and permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare measurements from construction drawings and specifications.
- Support Bills of Quantities, cost estimation, and rate analysis for materials and labor.
- Assist with tender documents, cost comparisons, and tender evaluation summaries.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and support clarification processes.
- Assist with progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Maintain project costing records and compare executed quantities with billed quantities.
- Coordinate with site engineers to collect measurement data and progress reports.
- Support cost projections and analyze budget variations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Fresher or entry-level experience of 0–3 years.
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is mandatory.
- Fundamental understanding of construction materials, civil engineering works, and BOQ concepts.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to project workflows.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay starts at ₹30,000 per month.
