- Conduct thorough cost estimation for construction projects, ensuring accuracy by analyzing project plans and specifications.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses and forecasting future costs to minimize overruns.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials and labor, enabling effective procurement and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess design changes and their financial impacts on the project.
- Review subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and identifying the best value.
- Generate and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting budget variances and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet financial objectives.
- Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, focusing on favorable terms and conditions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify that work is being completed according to specifications and budget.
