Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Technician will be responsible for providing valuable quality support by ensuring the products meet all standards of presentation and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections, mechanical, and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards
- Competent with use of micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMM, and Optical test equipment
- Study product specifications and work instructions
- Make independent judgements for subjective calls
- Follow nonconforming part procedure to identify & isolate defective material
- Support internal/external audit processes, as required
- Support cross functional problem solving activities, as required
- Ability to read and understand blue prints/inspection plans
- Support PFMEA and APQP activities, as required
- Support PPAP activities, as required
- Helps to ensure the safety of the workforce
- Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
- Collaborates with other departments to maintain the quality system
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, with demonstrated experience in a quality-related role.
- Solid understanding of GD&T
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multi-task
- Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
- Superior attention to detail in all areas of work
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
