Quality Technician at TAKEUCHI MFG U S LTD — USA | Base Career

Are you passionate about quality, problem-solving, and making a difference on the production floor?

As a Quality Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring our products are manufactured to meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

In this hands-on role, you will provide production line support through inspection, auditing, calibration coordination, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

You will work closely with Production, Process Technicians, Area Coordinators, and Quality personnel to identify, investigate, and resolve quality concerns while promoting compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.

The Quality Technician will also support the Senior Quality Engineer with measurement and inspection activities as needed.

with a CMM and/or Faro Arm is preferred, but we welcome candidates who have a strong willingness to learn and participate in additional training to develop these technical skills.

Strong computer skills are important for success in this role.

with Microsoft Excel and Word is required, as these tools will be regularly used for documentation, data analysis, and reporting.

with PowerPoint is preferred, and a willingness to learn and expand proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is encouraged.

Associate’s degree in an engineering technology or related field from an accredited college or university OR High School diploma (or GED) with 5+ years of experience
2+ years of assembly and/or paint production quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of quality tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring instruments.
Mechanical and Paint Aptitude

Basic understanding of machine function and manufacturing process.
Proficient in the execution of methods and procedures
Able to respond effectively to changing priorities
Excellent problem-solving ability
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Experienced in office technology with solid MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with modern digital tools.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and practices along with understanding QA and QC (Kaizens and 5S)
Preferred knowledge of and performing MSA/GR&R Studies
Ability to present technical documents and projects. (MSA Studies, Calibration Results and 8D Problem Solving)
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.

Physical demands of the job include: stooping, grinding, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting (up to 40 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, standing, climbing; Also working in a plant environment with varying temperatures due to job being on the floor and not in office.
