Role overview
Gulf Processing Industries is seeking a Quality Manager for its food manufacturing operations.
The position works at the DIP plant and reports to the Plant Manager.
The role leads and strengthens the Quality Assurance function across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Assurance department and ensure compliance with international food safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee corporate food safety and quality control programs across manufacturing facilities.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review SOPs, policies, and quality protocols.
- Manage customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct and facilitate internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits.
- Define and monitor quality standards for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process checks, and finished products.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure compliance with QA systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to upgrade manufacturing units and ensure legal and food safety compliance.
- Lead and develop the QA team through effective structure, motivation, and accountability.
- Prepare and present monthly departmental performance and quality metrics reports to management.
Standards and compliance scope
- The role covers FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 22000:2018, Halal, Kosher, USFDA, and other export-related requirements.
Workplace
- The role is based at the DIP manufacturing plant in Dubai.
