About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for its Regional Civils team based in Warrington.
The role ensures high quality standards across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
The post develops, implements, and maintains quality management systems while working with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System.
- Provide quality leadership and support across multiple civil engineering projects.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Support project teams in meeting client and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on quality objectives.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support external accreditation and certification requirements, including ISO standards.
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Advisor within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing non-conformance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and engage project teams at all levels.
- Professional qualifications in quality management, engineering, or a related discipline are desirable.
- Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
