Primary Responsibilities
- Verify dimensional accuracy of components using a wide range of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, surface roughness testers, etc.)
- Verify supplier documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product evaluations.
- Review inspection records received for compliance
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents
- Support Engineering with dimensional analysis and product disposition.
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements for complex components
- Document Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) upon identification of nonconforming products and promptly notify relevant stakeholders.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
- Maintain metrology equipment and ensure compliance with calibration requirements.
- Adhere to company HSE policies and report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly
