Quality Inspector/ CMM Programming 1st Shift

Primus Aerospace is currently seeking a Quality Inspector with a focus on CMM programming to join our Quality team.

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers.

The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts machined out of standard and exotic metals.

Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs.

This role balances hands-on inspection responsibilities with independent CMM programming duties.

The ideal candidate is comfortable both performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections and writing, editing, and optimizing PC-DMIS programs to support production and quality requirements.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 3:30PM

Pay Rate: $30-$45/hr

• Responsible for assuring that assigned activities are performed in accordance with the Quality Management System
• Perform First Piece, Lot, In-Process, and Final Inspections against customer requirements and print specifications
• Write, revise, and optimize CMM programs (PC-DMIS) to reflect customer print specification requirements
• Analyze and interpret CMM reports and inspection data to determine adherence to customer prints and specifications
• Create CMM setup and operational instructions specific to part and machine
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including written descriptions of results and statistical analysis
• Provide support to the QC team with FAI, in-process, or final inspection activities as needed
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of CMM machines and ensure programs and inspection data are stored and backed up correctly
• Ensure CMM software (PC-DMIS) is kept up to date and maintained
