Program Quality Associate Manager leading a team of Quality Engineers (QEs) and Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) including expatriates on the GMLRS International program. The leader will have primary responsibilities on overseeing quality operations with focus on defect prevention/elimination and compliance to customer/contractual requirements. This position requires a dynamic, proactive and results oriented leadership to develop, implement and manage a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy which leverages input from internal LM cross-functional leads and customer representatives.
The individual selected for this position must “lead by example”, possess a strong business acumen and display exceptional proficiency & competence in applied principles of Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Systems Analysis, Systems Engineering, Reliability and Product & Process Variation Management. Advanced knowledge and experience with application of Aerospace Standards such as AS9100 & AS9102 is required.
What You Will Be Doing
Leadership & Team Management : The Quality Engineering Associate Manager leads a diverse team of Quality Engineers, including expatriates, overseeing the application of quality principles across design, production control, and product evaluation. The role involves managing talent development, establishing performance metrics, and fostering continuous improvement within the team to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
Technical & Program Execution : Key responsibilities include conducting technical evaluations of products, driving corrective and preventive action analyses, and developing processes that minimize risk while optimizing program execution. The manager collaborates with Integrated Product Teams and customers to align quality standards with program requirements, ensuring the Quality Management System complies with customer specifications and governmental regulations.
Strategic Improvement & Customer Liaison : The Associate Manager implements contemporary business strategies to strengthen the Quality Management System, utilizes missile and fire‑control policies, and applies robust quality methodologies. Acting as the primary liaison between the program and the customer, the role ensures customer satisfaction, resolves quality‑related issues, and drives data‑based improvements that enhance overall program performance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a Technical/Engineering discipline from an accredited college
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (AS9100, AS9102, etc.)
- Experience as a team lead and facilitator (Full Spectrum Leadership)
- Experience working with Government customers
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
- Must have the ability to travel
Desired Skills

- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager
- Six Sigma Certification
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proposals and Control Account Management (CAM)
- Experience working with International Operations and Customers
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
