Job Summary & Requirements
- Job Title: Quality Engineer
Duties/Responsibilities
- Investigate problems and report root cause and corrective actions through the CCL reporting system
- Work with cross-functional problem-solving teams on 8D reports
- Own quality planning documentation and corrective actions for a specific area of the business
- Develop product-specific test plans as part of the APQP process
- Gather process and product data and report to the quality team to assist with continual improvement objectives
- Routinely use quality tools such as Control Plans, PFMEA, procedure-writing, use of statistical quality control, lean manufacturing concepts, and Lean-Six Sigma tools and analyses
- Perform material testing and diagnosis/recommendations for purchased products exhibiting either poor quality or poor performing characteristics
- Provide customer requested documentation of claim details
- Follow established process for handling customer deductions forwarded by accounts receivable.
- Serve as neutral party between customer and organization in claim investigation
