About Cognizant Quality Engineering
Cognizant’s Quality Engineering and Assurance team embeds quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
The team supports critical customer-facing platforms and intelligent applications.
Position Overview
The Quality Engineer will contribute to an AI-driven testing practice for mission-critical intelligent applications.
The role is designed for a hands-on early-career quality professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Java and Python test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Perform API testing with Swagger YAML files, Postman, and Rest Assured.
- Conduct database testing with SQL queries and validate data integrity.
- Own quality for assigned features through requirements analysis, test execution, and final sign-off.
- Track testing progress and defects with JIRA, ADO, ALM, or similar tools.
- Test AI/ML applications, including chatbot intent recognition, conversational flow, response accuracy, and edge cases.
- Use AI assistants for test development, test data creation, and bug report summarization.
- Evaluate AI systems for bias, fairness, reliability, and robustness.
