Quality Coordinator

We're looking for someone to take charge of the paperwork and organization behind our quality department.

Think of it as a step up from our inspectors.

You'd still be on the floor with the calipers, but you'd also be the person who keeps our quality records, our ISO system, and our inspection routine organized and up to date.

Day to day, you'd run and back up the inspections: incoming resin and material, in-process dimensional and profile checks, and final inspection.

We have two inspectors on the floor.

You'd be their point person, keep the schedule straight, and pick up the gauges yourself.

You'd log non-conforming material, keep the calibration records current, and make sure the inspection paperwork is done right.

A big part of this is our ISO 9001 system.

You'd keep the documents and records in order, help schedule and run our internal audits, track corrective actions to closure, and get us ready when the outside auditor comes.

You don't need to have built an ISO system from scratch.

You need to be organized enough to keep ours running and willing to learn the parts you don't know.

We'd also hand you some of the recordkeeping for safety and environmental compliance: OSHA logs, training records, and our environmental paperwork.

Plus the sign-off records for operator training, so we can show every person on a line is trained for it.

Our customer-facing work is handled by others, so this isn't a sales or account job.

It's a hands-on, detail-and-paperwork job for someone who likes keeping things in order and getting them right.

This is a day-shift role, Monday through Friday.

Some inspection or quality experience in a manufacturing plant is what we're after, along with being organized, comfortable on a computer, and steady with detail.

Extrusion or molding experience is a plus.
