The Aftersales Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all repair and maintenance services meet the dealership's and manufacturer's quality standards. They play a crucial role in inspecting completed work, identifying quality issues, and implementing corrective measures to maintain high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Quality Inspection:
Inspect vehicles after repair or maintenance services to ensure the work meets dealership and manufacturer standards.
Conduct thorough inspections of repaired components, ensuring they function properly and meet safety and quality requirements.
Identify and document any defects, incomplete repairs, or quality issues in the work performed.
2. Compliance with Standards:
Ensure that all repairs and maintenance services adhere to manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.
Verify that technicians follow recommended repair procedures and use approved tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment.
Monitor compliance with safety protocols and regulations during repairs.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, repairs performed, and corrective actions taken.
Prepare reports on quality inspection results, highlighting areas for improvement and commendation.
Collaborate with the workshop supervisor and service advisors to address recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
4. Customer Interaction:
Explain quality inspection results to customers, addressing any concerns and providing clear explanations of identified issues.
Liaise with customers to gather feedback on service quality and overall satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints related to service quality promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution and customer retention.

5. Training and Guidance:
Provide feedback to technicians regarding quality issues and areas for improvement.
Conduct training sessions for technicians on quality standards, repair techniques, and best practices.
Offer guidance and support to technicians to enhance their skills and maintain consistent service quality.
6. Collaboration with Service and Workshop Teams:
Collaborate closely with service advisors, workshop supervisors, and technicians to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss quality-related matters, share insights, and implement improvement strategies.
Work with the parts department to ensure the availability of genuine parts and components for repairs, promoting quality assurance.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Analyze inspection data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for process improvement.
Recommend changes in repair procedures, equipment, or training programs to enhance service quality.
Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness over time.
8. Health and Safety:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations in the aftersales department.
Conduct regular safety training sessions for aftersales staff, addressing potential hazards and safe working practices.
9. Investigates any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action report and ensures issues are addressed and resolved.
10. Maintains technical and product knowledge to support in accurate quality testing and diagnosing.
11. Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to quality management.
