Quality Control Technician

Follow and promote Heidelberg Materials and EDF health, safety and environmental standards.

Actively identify, report and help resolve near misses, hazards and unsafe conditions.

Challenge behaviours that could negatively impact safety, quality or environmental performance.

Support Nuclear Safety Culture requirements and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Ensure all testing activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.

Maintain accurate testing records, calibration logs and quality databases.

Produce detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly.

Report any quality, environmental or safety concerns promptly to site management.

Ensure all records are completed accurately and maintained to audit standards.

Liaise with EDF contractors, site teams and office-based colleagues to support project requirements.

Build effective working relationships with customers, contractors and third-party stakeholders.

Participate in site visits to collect samples and assess operating conditions.

Assist with the transportation of test specimens where required.

Experience testing concrete, aggregates, asphalt or similar materials.

Knowledge of British and European testing standards.

Understanding of quality management systems and technical procedures.

Experience working on construction, infrastructure or major projects.
