Role Overview
Quality Control Technician responsible for monitoring production lines and ensuring raw materials and finished goods meet quality and food safety standards.
The position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor and works on the second shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and closing cleaning inspections.
- Conduct quality control tests and daily GMP audits.
- Check label accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain HACCP, SQF, QC checklist, label inspection, metal detector, lot inspection, and other records.
- Conduct microbiological sampling, prepare customer samples, and perform sensory evaluations.
- Calibrate equipment and conduct allergen validation and ATP testing.
- Assist with audit-related corrective actions.
- Handle nonconforming product, communicate issues, and follow the HOLD procedure.
Requirements
- GMP experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and training.
- Bilingual Spanish-English communication ability.
- Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
