About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Chemist to carry out quality control activities for a leading paints and coatings company. The role involves testing raw materials, production batches, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality testing of production batches to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards
- Perform quality assessments on incoming raw materials and packaging materials
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated, operational, and maintained
- Recommend adjustments to production batches when necessary
- Approve and verify colour accuracy of production batches
- Issue batch certificates upon customer request
- Investigate and evaluate product complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Accurately record all quality control testing data in databases and Excel files
- Maintain organized records of approved drawdowns
- Store and manage colour approval data within ERP software
- Ensure proper documentation of calibration records and ISO 9001 related documents
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and maintain a clean laboratory
Requirements
- Graduate in polymer science, chemistry or chemical engineering
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience in R&D / QC Chemist in a reputed paint company
- Knowledge of testing of paint and raw materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Valid UAE driving license is beneficial

About this Role
- This position will be responsible for carrying out quality control activities as per instructions from the Technical Manager and QC team.
- The role ensures that all raw materials, packaging materials, and production batches meet required quality standards while maintaining compliance with safety and industry regulations.
