Position Overview

  • This permanent, full time position is designed for highly detail oriented and technically skilled quality engineers who want to lead site level QA/QC protocols and material compliance across major water pipeline projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Strategy & Research

  • Assist the management team with quality management planning and site specific risk assessments.
  • Project quality documentation, standards, and engineering spec analysis.
  • Local utility and municipality authority technical regulation reviews.
  • Quality improvement benchmarking and inspection checklist development.
  • Preparing QA/QC metrics, analysis, and formal authority reports.
  • Research evolving pipeline engineering standards, material innovations (HDPE, DI, GRP, UPVC), and regional utility guidelines.

Partnerships & Business Development

  • Coordinate inspections and quality audits with client representatives and third party consultants.
  • Research supplier qualifications, factory capability limits, and regional testing laboratories.
  • Initiate QA/QC site briefings and establish a zero defect mindset among subcontractors and field teams.
  • Assist in preparing, submitting, and securing structural approvals for material submittals.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
  • Support joint venture partner audits and aligning combined quality assurance plans.

Operations & Execution

  • Supervise daily on site water pipeline installations, structural fit ups, and material handling.
  • Manage critical field testing operations, including hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, and chemical disinfection.
  • Track and resolve non conformance reports (NCRs) across all active site segments.
  • Support process improvements, inspection workflows, and material tracking logs.
  • Coordinate Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and ensure physical compliance prior to consultant sign offs.

Marketing & Growth

  • Assist with internal quality awareness campaigns, site posters, and standard operating procedure (SOP) distributions.
  • Technical toolbox talks and localized subcontractor quality onboarding sessions.
  • Quality performance reward schemes and site team collaboration campaigns.
  • Regional vendor relations and subcontractor onboarding standards.
  • Quality performance data extraction and trend analysis for business expansion reviews.
  • On site construction quality research and historic project success audits.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain trackers and dashboards for material submittals, approvals, and upcoming delivery inspection schedules.
  • Open/Closed Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
  • Pipeline hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, and disinfection logs.
  • Supplier, vendor, and subcontractor non conformance metrics.
  • Operational quality KPIs and ISO 9001:2015 audit compliance records.
  • Assist in preparing weekly/monthly quality performance reports and corporate management updates.
