Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer (Civil) to join a premier Main Contractor in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems across high-standard building construction projects.
This role ensures that all civil, structural, and architectural works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, local authority regulations, and ISO standard requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Quality Management System (QMS), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections for civil, structural, and finishing works to verify adherence to contract specifications and approved method statements.
- Review material submittals, inspect incoming raw materials, verify manufacturer test certificates, and coordinate third-party testing (concrete, steel, soil, waterproofing, etc.).
- Prepare and raise Requests for Inspection (RFIs) for Consultant/Client approval and ensure timely clearance of inspection milestones.
- Identify site non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), determine root causes, and drive effective corrective/preventive actions to closure.
- Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, test registers, audit records, and quality logs to support handover and closeout dossiers.
- Ensure site execution meets Dubai Municipality (DM), DDA, Trakhees, or other relevant authority guidelines and technical codes.
- Liaise closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultant QA/QC teams to maintain high quality standards without compromising project schedules.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on QA/QC experience specifically within building construction projects (residential, commercial, or high-rise).
- Prior experience with reputable Main Contractors in Dubai/UAE is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with local authority regulations (DM/DDA/Trakhees).
- Strong command of civil/structural execution, finishing standards, international quality codes (ISO 9001), ASTM/BS standards, and material testing procedures.
- Proficient in reading complex structural and architectural drawings, drafting Method Statements/ITPs, and utilizing MS Office & quality management software.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with high attention to detail and strong audit capabilities.
