About the Role
Cone Drive Operations, a Timken company, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to manage the quality function for two manufacturing plants and supplier quality. You will oversee ISO 9001 compliance, lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors, and manage customer communication on warranty and corrective actions.

Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the Company's ISO 9001 processes, compliance, and audit representation
- Manage the Traverse City and Ludington plant quality systems and processes
- Ensure that new product launches are proven through all steps of the quality processes
- Manage supplier development and supplier quality assurance programs in tandem with Supply Chain
- Manage all aspects of the laboratories and QC process, including instrument calibration, maintenance, and housekeeping
- Manage a team of Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisor, Metrologist and hourly quality inspectors
- Assign resources, tasks, and training within the quality team to ensure business needs are met
- Manage and facilitate all customer communication relative to product warranty, corrective actions, and related matters
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 8 to 10 years' Quality Engineering experience
- Leadership experience highly preferred
- High mix environment with aerospace experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of quality systems in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to customers
- Ability to lead a team and act assertively when necessary to protect the customer
