Overview
**Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer in a Jeddah cables manufacturing company** is responsible for making sure that all cables meet required standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications before they reach the market.
Key Responsibilities
- **Quality Control Testing**
- Perform tests on raw materials (copper, aluminum, insulation)
- Check finished cables for strength, conductivity, insulation resistance, etc.
- **Standards Compliance**
- Ensure products meet standards like **IEC, ASTM, ISO**
- Follow internal quality procedures and documentation
- **Process Monitoring**
- Monitor production lines (extrusion, stranding, armoring)
- Identify defects and suggest corrective actions
- **Inspection & Audits**
- Conduct in-process and final inspections
- Participate in internal and external audits
- **Documentation**
- Maintain test reports, inspection records, and quality logs
- Prepare certificates of conformity (CoC)
- **Problem Solving**
- Investigate defects (e.g., insulation failure, diameter variation)
- Work with production teams to improve processes
