Quality Assurance Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of warehouse quality assurance programs
• Coordinating quality assurance activities with warehouse leadership and responding to quality-related questions and concerns
• Performing quality checks on customer orders to ensure right-first-time order picking and packing accuracy
• Counting and monitoring warehouse inventory to ensure physical stock aligns with system balances
• Conducting inventory reviews and material assessments utilizing SAP and other warehouse systems
• Organizing products according to established warehouse procedures and locating misplaced inventory
• Reporting inventory discrepancies and assisting with investigations related to overages, shortages, damaged, or inconsistent product
• Maintaining error logs used to support employee coaching and continuous operational improvement
• Working collaboratively with warehouse personnel to identify root causes and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Supporting the implementation and sustainability of East Penn Canada's Lean Distribution initiatives
• Providing coaching to warehouse personnel on policies, procedures, and quality standards as required
• Supporting the coordination and tracking of departmental operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Following all company policies, procedures, and provincial regulations, including Health & Safety requirements, WHMIS, TDG, Workers' Compensation, and Labour Board regulations
• Identifying, reporting, and escalating workplace hazards, safety concerns, and potential health and safety risks
• Providing back-up support to warehouse and product maintenance functions as operationally required
• Contributing to a positive team environment through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong customer service focus
• Maintaining a professional appearance and company uniform in accordance with company standards
