Role Overview
The role is part of the QNX Kernel Development Team.
The work focuses on kernel architecture, memory management, process management, operating system services, power management, performance, and foundational libraries.
The position is systems software development rather than application development.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and enhance kernel and system-level operating system technologies.
- Provide technical leadership for QNX Kernel and Core OS research and development.
- Influence operating system architecture, design, and performance improvements.
- Create software specifications and designs for complex requirements.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Implement reliable, performant code across critical OS subsystems.
- Develop and execute automated unit tests.
- Resolve complex issues across hardware and software layers.
