Job Description
The QHSE Engineer is part of the QHSE team and manages quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance across operations.
The role leads continuous improvement initiatives to control risks, optimize processes, and improve performance against business and regulatory expectations.
QHSE Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards and relevant local regulations.
- Develop, implement, and review QHSE policies, procedures, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Monitor operations, identify hazards, verify controls, and close corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate incidents using 5-Why, root-cause analysis, and Fishbone methods.
- Lead HIRA, JSA, and EHS risk-register assessments.
- Conduct internal audits and supplier assessments and close nonconformities.
- Advise managers and supervisors on compliance, legal requirements, and safe operations.
- Deliver QHSE training and coaching covering emergency response, hazard reporting, and safe behaviors.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor area-based QHSE Officers.
Process Improvement
- Lead initiatives targeting productivity, cost, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Map and analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, waste, and optimization opportunities.
