QC Inspector - Mechanical - Project

The QC Inspector – Mechanical performs inspection and testing of mechanical equipment installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works (pumps, vessels, packages, structural skids).

· Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications.

· Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities per the ITP.

· Verify materials and equipment against material certificates, vendor data, and specifications.

· Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.

· Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.

· Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.

· Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.

· Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for mechanical works.

· Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and mechanical equipment standards.

· Support preparation of quality documentation for mechanical handover dossiers.

· Inspection accuracy and completeness

· Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances

· First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts

· Adherence to inspection schedules/hold points

· Quality of inspection documentation

Experience

· 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on mechanical equipment installation projects.

Education

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· QC/inspection certification preferred.
