Job Summary
The QA/QC Inspector – Factory at DuPod supports the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within factory and production operations.
The role focuses on inspecting materials, production processes, and finished modular pod components to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Working closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams, the inspector ensures that all factory outputs meet DuPod’s high-quality benchmarks before dispatch to site.
The role also contributes to maintaining accurate quality records, identifying non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal quality inspections for incoming materials, in-process production stages, and finished products prior to dispatch.
- Verify that production activities (cutting, assembly, finishing, and installation of components) comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections with production teams, supervisors, and QA/QC engineers for stage-wise approvals.
- Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) during production and support root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Monitor factory processes to ensure consistency in quality, workmanship, and finishing standards.
- Maintain and organize QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, checklists, and testing records.
- Ensure traceability of materials, components, and finished products through proper documentation and labeling.
- Support third-party inspections and factory audits by preparing documentation and facilitating the inspection process.
- Verify that materials received meet approved submittals and specifications before being used in production.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) within factory operations.
- Conduct final quality checks on completed pods or components prior to handover to logistics or site teams.
- Support the use of digital tools and systems for inspection reporting and quality tracking.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to address material quality issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within factory operations.
- Assist in reviewing redline markups and ensure production reflects updated and approved drawings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection within manufacturing, modular construction, or factory environments.
- Hands-on experience in factory inspections, material inspections, and production quality control processes.
- Diploma or Degree from a recognized technical institution – Required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or related field) – Preferred.
- Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and manufacturing inspection processes.
- Familiarity with shop drawings, production drawings, and material specifications.
- Knowledge of quality documentation, record-keeping, and traceability systems.
- Experience with joinery, modular pods, or interior fit-out production is an advantage.
- Exposure to factory audits and third-party inspections is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Basic proficiency in digital inspection tools and reporting systems.
