Job Summary

  • The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for high rise building construction projects.
  • The role ensures that all construction activities, materials, workmanship, inspections, and testing activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, consultant requirements, applicable codes, and UAE regulatory standards.
  • The QC Manager shall lead the QA/QC team, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, and ensure that the project is delivered in accordance with the required quality standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP).
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Establish project quality objectives, procedures, inspection plans, and quality control measures.
  • Monitor project quality performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee all inspection and testing activities for civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Review and approve material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and test reports.
  • Coordinate with approved third party laboratories for testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with consultant inspection requirements and approval procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and specifications.
  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in Quality Management are preferred.
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of construction experience.
  • Minimum 5 years as QC Manager on high rise building projects.
  • Minimum 5 years UAE experience with a Main Contractor.
  • Proven experience in residential, commercial, mixed use, hospitality, or high rise tower projects.
  • Experience managing quality systems for projects exceeding 20 floors.
  • Thorough knowledge of QA/QC procedures and quality management systems.
  • Strong understanding of concrete works, structural works, architectural finishes, waterproofing systems, façade works, and MEP coordination.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and other UAE authority requirements.
  • Ability to review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical specifications.
