We are looking for a QA/QC Supervisor, Environmental to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Palmyra, MO.
The QA/QC Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining compliant and reliable plant operations by partnering daily with EHS and plant teams, including supervisors, maintenance personnel, and operators, to ensure the site operates within NPDES permit limits. The role provides timely analytical support to guide operational decisions, maintain continuous laboratory coverage for manufacturing, and address water, soil, waste, and other environmental matters in collaboration with the Waste Specialist. In addition to leading, developing, and training direct reports, the supervisor contributes to environmental and quality investigations by helping identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions. The position also provides backup supervisory support for the QA/QC Supervisor.

Providing analytical support to ensure continuous lab operations and support NPDES (water) permit, air permits, soil management plan, RCRA, HWMACT and other compliant sample points. Setting up and maintaining laboratory instruments as needed.
Ensuring processes are in place to communicate data to operations, monitor check samples, prepare mobile phases and standards, etc.
Setting up and running standard methods in-house or develop/adjust BASF analytical methods as needed to meet compliance requirements and support production troubleshooting. Responsible for microbial contamination monitoring.
Leading and contributing to quality investigations with site personnel teams to obtain root cause and effective corrective actions.
Leading standards management program for the Americas, ensuring adequate supply of analytical standards are available, orders are filled and distributed promptly and packaged/shipped following IATA requirements.
Assisting quality management system activities. (QC data back up/storage/retrieval).
Providing technical assistance as needed for process adjustments and laboratory troubleshooting and off schedule samples.
Have a BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Bring 5 years of analytical laboratory experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control from manufacturing or environmental laboratory
Bring 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred.
Apply working knowledge of laboratory analytical testing and/or microbiological testing techniques.
Leverage knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement practices, such as ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing principles or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP); experience in these areas is preferred.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
