Role Overview

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform quality assurance and quality control activities for design and engineering consultancy services.
• Prepare and implement project quality plans, programs, and procedures while maintaining compliance with project and client requirements.
• Review QA/QC aspects of proposals, designs, drawings, specifications, and data sheets against applicable requirements and standards.
• Develop QA/QC procedures and reports and liaise with clients.
• Ensure client, subcontractor, vendor, and fabricator QA/QC programs comply with project quality plans.
• Provide technical support, solutions, and standard operating procedures for project QA/QC issues.
• Investigate quality performance inhibitors, agree improvement actions, and conduct audits at project or site locations.
• Analyze quality data, nonconformity reports, and client complaints and implement preventive action.
• Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC reports, statistics, and presentations.
• Conduct or arrange QHSE training and inductions and track quality-related training requirements.
• Track project quality metrics and coordinate with the branch QHSE department.
• Support compliance with health, safety, energy, and environmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
• At least 10 years of engineering consultancy experience in the petrochemical and oil and gas industry.
• Experience across studies, FEED, and detailed engineering stages of project delivery.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Ability to present QA/QC information to management, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other interested parties.
• Strong project control and scheduling understanding.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure during peak activity periods.
• Ready to join at short notice and meet UAE visa requirements.

Location

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with duties performed at project or site locations as required.
