Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, API, and performance testing
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, compatibility, stability, and performance across multiple platforms
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools; perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Participate throughout the SDLC by reviewing requirements, contributing to test planning, and supporting release readiness activities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and support CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure software meets business objectives
- Prepare testing documentation, quality reports, defect summaries, and release validation reports
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA principles
- Proficiency in test management tools, bug tracking systems, and test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of web applications, mobile applications, RESTful APIs, and relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with database testing, performance testing, security testing, and scripting languages is an advantage

Role Description
- The QA Engineer / Software Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing, defect management, and quality assurance processes.
- This role works closely with software development, product, and business teams to verify that applications meet functional, technical, security, and usability requirements before deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, API, and performance testing.
- Performing manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, compatibility, stability, and performance across multiple platforms and environments.
- Identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking software defects using defect management tools; performing root cause analysis and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
- Participating throughout the software development lifecycle by reviewing business and technical requirements, contributing to test planning, and supporting release readiness activities.
- Developing and maintaining automated test scripts, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing frameworks.
- Collaborating with software engineers, business analysts, product managers, UX/UI designers, DevOps engineers, and cross functional stakeholders.
- Preparing testing documentation, quality reports, defect summaries, and release validation reports while monitoring quality metrics.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Proficiency in test management tools, bug tracking systems, test automation frameworks, API testing tools, version control systems, and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of web applications, mobile applications, RESTful APIs, relational databases, software architecture, system integration, and software quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare clear documentation and collaborate with cross functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple testing activities.
