QA Automation Engineer

Our products support real workflows and, in many cases, live transactions, so quality is a first-class feature. ## Role Overview As a QA Automation Engineer, you will help ensure high product quality across our web and API systems by building scalable automated test coverage and continuously improving our testing processes. You’ll work closely with engineers and product managers in a continuous delivery environment to prevent regressions, increase confidence in releases, and raise the overall quality bar. ## What You’ll Do * Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs * Partner with engineers and product managers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify test scenarios early * Create and execute test plans that balance automation and targeted exploratory testing * Improve CI/CD quality gates by integrating automated tests into the delivery pipeline * Investigate failures, triage defects, and provide clear, actionable bug reports with reproduction steps and evidence * Help define and track quality metrics (e.g., coverage, flake rate, defect escape rate) and drive improvements * Contribute to test data strategies and environments that support reliable, repeatable testing ## What We’re Looking For * 3+ years of experience in software testing, including automation * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) * Experience testing web applications and API-driven systems * Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: test design, risk-based testing, regression strategy, and defect lifecycle * Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product to deliver high-quality outcomes ## Nice to Have * Experience working in SaaS environments or platforms that process live transactions * Experience improving test reliability and reducing flaky tests in CI * Familiarity with continuous delivery practices and quality gates ## Why This Role Matters * You’ll directly influence release confidence and customer experience by expanding automated coverage where it matters most * You’ll help shape testing processes and standards as the product evolves * You’ll work on systems where correctness and reliability are critical—especially around APIs and transaction-like workflows ## Location & Experience Level * Location: International (remote-friendly) * Experience: 0–5 years (we value demonstrated impact and strong fundamentals)
