Role Summary
This is a contractual role initially for three years.
The Python / AI Developer will build, test, and deploy AI-enabled reusable components and services for NeGD projects.
The role has a strong focus on hands-on GenAI and LLM implementation and works under the guidance of a Senior Architect-Developer.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Build AI and GenAI features including LLM integration, RAG pipelines, embeddings generation, and vector search.
- Develop reusable APIs, services, SDKs, and common components for multiple projects.
- Integrate third-party and open-source LLMs and AI models into enterprise applications, including prompt design and evaluation.
- Write clean, well-tested, well-documented, and maintainable code following defined architecture and coding standards.
- Collaborate on system design, technical decisions, and code reviews with the Senior Architect-Developer.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance, including AI and LLM response latency and accuracy.
- Document technical designs, APIs, and reusable components for use by other project teams.
