Responsibilities
- Perform post weld heat treatment activities on site for various engineering and construction projects.
- Prepare equipment and materials, set up and monitor heat treatment operations.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety procedures.
- Record process parameters, maintain accurate documentation, and report any deviations or equipment issues promptly.
- Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and quality control personnel to meet project schedules.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience performing post weld heat treatment (Pwht) on pipes, vessels, and structural components in industrial or construction environments.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (such as ASME, API) and ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining Pwht equipment, temperature control systems, and measuring instruments, including thermocouples and data recorders.
- Strong focus on workplace safety, with familiarity in safe work practices, risk assessments, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to complete accurate logs, reports, and quality documentation, and communicate clearly with supervisors, engineers, and quality control teams.
- Previous experience in oil and gas, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in welding, metallurgy, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Willingness to work on site, including shifts or extended hours as required by project timelines.
