Overview

  • We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage procurement activities, source suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure the timely availability of materials while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end to end procurement process from requisition to delivery.
  • Source, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Issue and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Operations departments to support business requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support demand planning activities.
  • Analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and item master data within ERP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Procurement or Purchasing.
  • Experience in heavy equipment spare parts is highly preferred.
  • Experience with part numbers and cross reference alternatives is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP or CSCP are a plus.
  • Good command of English language.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Achieve annual cost savings targets.
  • Maintain OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.
  • Ensure high purchase order accuracy.
  • Support inventory availability targets.
  • Contribute to supplier performance improvement initiatives.
