Role Overview
Manage MRO purchasing for maintenance, repair, and operations materials used in cable manufacturing plant operations.
The role covers industrial spare parts, tools, consumables, and related maintenance items.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing of MRO materials and industrial spare parts for plant operations.
- Source suppliers for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and maintenance items.
- Evaluate quotations using price, quality, specifications, availability, and lead time.
- Negotiate pricing and payment and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up on urgent spare parts to minimize production downtime.
- Identify alternative suppliers and equivalent parts to improve availability and reduce costs.
- Monitor pending orders, delivery schedules, shortages, and supplier performance.
- Maintain purchasing records, supplier databases, RFQs, quotations, and purchase orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field from a reputable university in Saudi Arabia.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience buying spare parts and tools.
- Experience working with industrial end users.
- Strong Saudi-market MRO procurement experience in manufacturing or an industrial environment is preferred.
