Job Summary
The Purchasing Co-op Student will support procurement and supply chain teams in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and maintaining inventory records.
The role provides hands-on experience in purchasing operations, supplier management, and business process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
This is a short-term contract running from September 2026 for four to eight months.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Obtain supplier quotes, confirm delivery dates, and resolve discrepancies.
- Compare vendor pricing, lead times, and quality performance to support sourcing activities.
- Maintain records of orders, supplier information, and contracts.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning.
- Collaborate with production, finance, and engineering teams to support timely material and service delivery.
- Track supplier performance and identify cost-saving or efficiency opportunities.
- Support procurement documentation, reporting, process improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
