Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost effective procurement of goods and services.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends, negotiation tactics, and supply chain dynamics and a proven track record of achieving cost reductions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize working capital while maintaining service levels.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and develop strong relationships to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and lead time reductions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, R&D, finance) to understand procurement needs and align sourcing strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and risks to anticipate supply chain disruptions and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for audit and analysis purposes.
  • Drive cost saving initiatives and process improvements across the procurement function.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in strategic purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with electrical products – wires, components, control panels, pcbs, etc. is preferred.
  • Track record of achieving measurable cost reductions.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong initiative and a proactive mindset.
