The Purchaser is responsible for managing the procurement of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), raw materials, intermediates, excipients, packaging materials, laboratory supplies, and other products required for pharmaceutical manufacturing and business operations.
The Purchaser works closely with suppliers and internal departments, including Supply Chain, Planning, QA, QC, Production, Warehouse, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and R&D, to ensure materials are sourced from approved suppliers, meet established requirements, and are delivered on time and at competitive costs.
The role requires strong attention to detail, supplier management skills, purchasing knowledge, and an understanding of pharmaceutical quality and compliance requirements.
Education Level: bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics etc.
Languages: English
Experience Request: Purchasing Experience as a purchasing clerk, or 1 year or more experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, are assets.
Working Schedule: 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Salary Offered: $37.00/hour
Evaluate risk, assess, prepare forecasts, scenarios, and other factors concerning the supply market, and write reports and recommendations.
