Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and source products, suppliers, and vendors based on company requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery timelines, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with suppliers on orders, availability, pricing, delivery, shortages, and replacements.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with warehouse and stores teams to prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Work with Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Accounts teams to support purchasing operations.
- Maintain records of suppliers, prices, purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries.
- Evaluate supplier performance, quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improved purchasing terms.
- Ensure purchases comply with approved budgets and company policies.
- Follow up on pending orders and resolve order, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.
- Conduct market research for new products, suppliers, and competitive pricing.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Retail, FMCG, or trading experience is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory and purchasing processes.
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and orders simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience using Tally.
- Hindi language proficiency.
- Ability to reliably commute to Dubai or relocate before starting work.
