Job Summary
Purchase Manager responsible for FMCG and retail procurement, supplier relationships, negotiations, and inventory requirements.
The company operates in trading and retail across Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah.
Employment and Experience
- The position is full-time.
- A minimum of five years of purchase or procurement experience is required.
Purchasing Responsibilities
- Manage daily purchasing and procurement activities.
- Source and evaluate reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms, and promotional deals.
- Maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
Inventory and Coordination
- Monitor market prices, product availability, and purchasing trends.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of products.
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Inventory, and Finance teams.
- Maintain optimum stock levels and minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
Commercial Performance
- Monitor product quality and supplier delivery schedules.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing margins.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of purchase or procurement experience.
- Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers and FMCG products.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP or purchasing systems.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- FMCG, retail, supermarket, wholesale, or distribution experience is preferred.
- UAE procurement experience is preferred.
- A UAE driving license is an advantage.
