Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Coordinate import and export documentation
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Compare quotations and obtain the best pricing and terms
- Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams regarding stock requirements
- Record purchase invoices and supplier bills
- Reconcile supplier statements and accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
- Prepare payment schedules and follow up on outstanding balances
- Support month end and year end closing activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement within a trading or import export company
- Practical accounting experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
