Purchase Engineer - Product & Vendor Development

Identify and develop new suppliers for engineering components.

Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery capability and technical competence .

Maintain effective relationships with existing suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms with suppliers.

Conduct supplier performance reviews and initiate corrective actions where required.

Coordinate closely with the Quality Department regarding: Customer complaints In-house rejection Supplier-related quality issues

Follow up with suppliers for corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure recurring quality issues are addressed effectively.

Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers.

Support cost negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.

Ensure purchases are made within approved commercial and quality requirements.

Maintain proper purchase documentation and records.

DME / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering .

5–7 years of relevant experience in engineering/manufacturing purchase.

Experience in sourcing engineering components and managing manufacturing suppliers will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should be a technically sound Mechanical Engineering professional with strong hands-on experience in engineering purchase and supplier management . The candidate should be comfortable working with engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and suppliers and should have strong follow-up and negotiation abilities.
